History

Dum Dum prayas started the skilling initiative towards child with special needs (M.R, Autistic, H.I,C.P, etc ) in the month July of 2010 at moll road ,Dum Dum ,Kolkata .Few parents began to work for this organization. This organization is running by parents of C.W.S.N .In the year 2010 there were fine C.W.S.N students. Now there are above thirty students use to come here. Dum Dum prayas is a non-profit, educational, training, vocational and cultural organization for the development of child with special needs. It is organized by parents of the handicapped students.

Dum Dum prayas is providing services to a great number of families from the lower economic strata of society .Since the awareness level of the community has increased, we are unable to cope under our present financial constraints. There is an increasing demand to expand our services both horizontally and vertically.

Details Of Work

We provide educational services, impart training in vocational skills, computer training game training , Yoga training ,song and dance training to mentally and orthopedically challenged young people. Through our activities, we hope to raise the potential of the CWSN people.
